Non parliamo pi\u00f9 soltanto del DNA come indicatore di variabilit\u00e0 genetica, utile per comprendere metabolismo, risposta ai nutrienti o predisposizioni individuali, n\u00e9 come semplice strumento identificativo (forense, metagenomica).&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>Il DNA libero circolante sta diventando un vero <strong>biomarcatore funzionale<\/strong>, capace di raccontare in tempo reale ci\u00f2 che accade nel nostro organismo.&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>Un recente studio ha dimostrato il potenziale della <strong>fragmentomica del cfDNA<\/strong> nella rilevazione precoce dei tumori urologici. Analizzando i pattern di frammentazione del DNA circolante, i ricercatori sono riusciti a distinguere con estrema accuratezza:&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">&#13;\n<li><strong>Bladder Cancer:<\/strong> AUC 96%<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Prostate cancer:<\/strong> AUC 99%<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Renal cell carcinoma:<\/strong> AUC 92%<\/li>&#13;\n&#13;\n&#13;\n&#13;\n<p><\/p>L\u2019approccio sfrutta algoritmi di <em>machine learning<\/em> che identificano elementi chiave come <strong>end motifs<\/strong>, <strong>breakpoint motifs<\/strong> e altre caratteristiche strutturali del cfDNA, generando una firma molecolare altamente discriminante.&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>Gli autori propongono inoltre una strategia di screening in due fasi, pensata per essere <strong>non invasiva, economicamente sostenibile e applicabile su larga scala<\/strong>.
